Parenting time, or previously referred to as child access, is the right to visit with and be visited by the child. This also allows parents to make inquiries and be given information about the child’s well being with respect to health and education. There are several different parenting time schedules which are determined in accordance with the best interests of the child. A parent with parenting time of a child has the authority during their parenting time to make day-to-day decisions affecting the child.

Parenting time also includes holidays as well and who the child(ren) will be with during which holidays.
